Physio Home Visits in Dublin

Can't make it to the clinic? The Body Lab brings physiotherapy to you. We offer physio at home across Dublin for older adults, people recovering from surgery, and anyone who finds travel painful or difficult. You get the same one-to-one assessment and treatment as in our Ranelagh clinic, in your own home.
Our mobile physiotherapy service is led by Ghazi Al Qasem, a registered physiotherapist with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy.

Who home visits are for?

Private physio home visits suit you if:

  • You are recovering from a hip, knee or shoulder operation and cannot drive yet

  • You have just come home from hospital and feel weaker or less steady

  • Pain or poor mobility makes travelling to a clinic hard

  • You care for a parent or relative who needs physio but cannot get out easily

  • Nursing home or convalescent home residents

Physio at home for older adults?

For many older people, home is the best place to do physio. We can see the stairs you climb, the chair you get up from and the bathroom you use, and build your exercises around them.

A home visit for an older adult usually covers:

  • Strength and balance work to lower the risk of falls

  • Walking practice, indoors and outside if you wish

  • Advice on walking sticks and frames, and how to use them safely

  • A simple exercise plan that you, your family or your carer can follow

With your permission, we are happy to update family members after each visit.

How a home visit works?

  1. Enquire. Fill in the form below or call 01 255 4450. Tell us what you need help with and where you live.

  2. We call you back. We confirm that a home visit is right for you and agree a time. Usual reply time, one working day.

  3. First visit. Ghazi assesses your movement, strength and balance, asks about your goals and starts treatment. Allow 15 minutes.

  4. Your plan. You get a clear exercise plan and we agree how many follow-up visits make sense.

Patient’s Reviews

I had a really positive experience at The Body Lab. I went in with quite severe back pain from a muscle spasm, and Ghazi was patient and attentive throughout. He carried out a thorough assessment and recommended helpful exercises. He was professional, respectful, and took the time to listen to my concerns. I’d definitely recommend this clinic!!!

I came here with knee pain after being recommended by a friend. Great location, and Ghazi was such a professional, being able to identify the problem straight away. I already booked more sessions before leaving the building.

I had sudden severe lower back pain from a tough lower body session in the gym and was struggling to walk for two days. I rang the clinic around 5pm and was seen in the next half an hour. The clinic is lovely and Ghazi is very kind and professional. The next day my back was back to normal, no pain when walking, I was so grateful and would definitely recommend!
